Pole challenge week 2: the drop down
Welcome to week 2 of my 10 week pole challenge. Ok… it’s been a little longer than two weeks, so I have some serious catching up to do! This week’s move is the drop down, which can be performed on a static or spinner pole. I’m a little over extended in this photo – you should aim for your body to be a straight line from toes to fingertips (I will have to install that wall mirror I’ve been wanting for ages!)
In the initial stages of learning this move, you’ll need to suck it up. There’s no avoiding the fact that it requires you have a high pain threshold. The insides of your thighs will hate you for weeks but trust me; the more you get into pole the more likely you’ll begin to soon relish every new bruise. Besides, it is just a sign that you’ve mastered the previous move and are moving on to the next.
